At least 237 people have been killed in renewed Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip, including many children.
The Israeli military says it's acting under the orders of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
It says the operation in Gaza could extend beyond air strikes.
Israeli political analyst Ori Goldberg said the mood has changed and few in Israel believe Prime Minister Netanyahu’s claim that the resumption of attacks on Gaza will help free the captives.
