Daniel Hodges, who defended the Capitol against the pro-Trump mob on January 6, 2021, expressed his outrage over Donald Trump's decision to pardon 1,500 participants. Hodges, who was one of the officers who spent the previous several days protecting the Capitol for the inauguration of Trump, said that he had done so even though 'everything he is, everything he stands for, is anathema to me, but he is the president.'
