Israeli settlers killed Palestinian man Thamin Khalil Reda Dawabsheh, 35, in the Palestinian village of Duma, near Nablus, after attacking locals.
According to the mayor, Israeli settlers first assaulted a 14-year-old Palestinian boy, prompting Palestinian men to intervene—before armed Israeli settlers opened fire.
The Israeli military later admitted the killer was an off-duty Israeli soldier accompanying “an Israeli civilian” near Duma “during engineering works.
Israeli settler violence, often filmed, has escalated, with perpetrators rarely facing consequences.
This mirrors past attacks, like the 2015 Israeli settler arson that killed a Palestinian family in Duma.
New Israeli settlers, encroaching on Palestinian land, operate with tacit Israeli government approval, entrenching displacement and violence.
