1 דקות קריאה

Nigeria’s parliament has approved a state of emergency in Rivers State, a major oil-producing region, following a series of explosions targeting key pipelines. The government has deployed thousands of security personnel to safeguard critical oil infrastructure amid rising militant activity. In response to the crisis, the president has suspended the state governor, further escalating political tensions.

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Mogho, in Rivers State.
