In this project, Surovi Plotnik builds a 119 m² wooden-frame house with a precision that feels almost choreographed. Every beam, every cut, every fastening movement deliberate and rhythmic.
But his approach isn’t just construction. It is, indeed, a disciplined craft rooted in the philosophy of Larry Haun, the American carpenter who transformed home building in the mid-20th century.
Haun believed that efficiency was born not from speed, but from flow, the seamless repetition of smart, simple actions performed in perfect order.
Plotnik takes that wisdom and fuses it with Russian engineering standards, where precision and calculation are non-negotiable.
The result is a method that feels mechanical but human: Haun’s rhythm meets Russia’s structural discipline and craftsmanship through movement, order, and purpose.
And it feels absolutely mesmerizing.
