The US is defending comments made by ambassador Charles Kushner – accusing France of not doing enough to combat anti-Semitic violence.
He made the allegations in a letter to President Emmanuel Macron.
The French Foreign Ministry says Kushner's accusations are unacceptable.
It's summoned him to face what is expected to be a diplomatic rebuke.
