The foreign ministers of France and Germany have met the leader of Syria's new administration Ahmed al-Sharaa, in the capital Damascus. Jean-Noel Barrot and Annalena Baerbock are representing the European Union, It's one of the highest level Western diplomatic visits, since the Assad regime was toppled last month.
