Sudan's military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has declared the capital 'free' after returning to the presidential palace in Khartoum.
Burhan's forces have made major gains against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in recent days.
Earlier they regained control of Khartoum's airport and a weapons manufacturing centre.
