במהלך מחסום יזום של שוטרי המחוז הצפוני בכביש 90, סירב נהג משאית להיענות לקריאת השוטרים לעצור והחל בנסיעה פרועה תוך סיכון משתמשי הדרך. השוטרים פתחו במרדף בעקבותיו, ובשלב מסוים פגע הנהג בניידת תוך ניסיון להימלט אל תוך יישוב.
בתום מרדף נעצר הנהג בסיוע ניידות מג"ב, כאשר בהמשך התברר כי הוא נוהג בזמן פסילה וברכב שאינו תקין. החקירה הסתיימה, ופרקליטות מחוז צפון הגישה נגדו כתב אישום ובקשה למעצר עד תום ההליכים.

During a routine roadblock set up by Northern District police officers on Route 90, a truck driver refused to stop as instructed and began driving recklessly, endangering other road users. The officers initiated a pursuit, and at one point, the driver rammed into a police vehicle in an attempt to escape into a nearby community.
After a tense chase and the brave actions of the responding officers, the driver was apprehended with the assistance of Border Police units. Further investigation revealed that he was driving while disqualified and in a truck with no valid registration. The investigation has concluded, and the Northern District Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment and a request for his detention until the end of the proceedings.
