Rom Braslavski and Maxim Herkin have returned home to their families and have now arrived at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer after 738 days in captivity.
The healthcare system is fully prepared to receive the returned captives, attending their physical and emotional needs, and for the identification of the fallen.
This is a very complex and sensitive time requiring great sensitivity toward each returned captives and their family.
The system’s preparedness relies on lessons learned from previous release operations.
The health system will fulfill this mission with the outmost profession and sensitivity, placing the wellbeing of the returned captives at the center of our efforts.
We remind the public that these are deeply sensitive moments for the captives and their families and ask that their privacy be respected.
Their return home is a complex and emotional process, stirring powerful feelings of hope, pain, and loss among the families of the returned captives, the bereaved families, and the general public.
Protecting their privacy is essential to ensure their transition from captivity back to life, toward recovery and rehabilitation.
The Israeli Ministry advises avoiding unnecessary exposure to difficult content and shielding children from distressing images or recordings.
